(Not really survival related.) We have red headlamps, now red boot lamps are available. See at sneakyhunter.com I wonder if tall grass/ weeds and any sticks will catch these?

View Attachment Saw this some other place in the past month, funny thing is I have done this for years on my night walks looking for animal prints at night on the road. I strapped a headlamp either to a walking stick or my ankle point across the ground at an angle to cast shadow over tracks. I don't think in grass it would be an issue but brush or thick under-story they may get caught up.
