So I decided to look into the El Cheapo trail camera market and found a stunning game camera ( worth WAY more than the 42$ they are charging ) to try out and the performance and ease of use on this thing are amazing. SPECS # 12 mp, full HD, 1/3rd of a second trigger( verified ), 120 FOV sensor and lens, perfect sound quality, 4 month battery life, built in LCD display and to top it off it is so small it is insane. The entire camera is smaller than your phone.
I have tested the IR range, sensitivity, audio and picture quality and this camera is in the competitive range of cameras at 150$ price point. I highly recommend this camera for field work as it is small, high quality and a low cost ( if it is stolen it is not the end of the work).
